Our Story

I’m Michael Bowles, founder of Bowles Accounting. My career began in public accounting with Big 4 assurance, before transitioning into private industry where I held several corporate and financial leadership roles. Those early experiences shaped my understanding of accounting, finance, and best practices that businesses need to succeed.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, I’ve always had a passion for supporting small business owners. Over time, I recognized a clear gap in financial leadership within the SMB market. Combining that need with my passion, I found my niche—helping business owners gain the financial clarity and support they deserve.

In 2017, I launched Bowles Advisory to provide fractional CFO and transaction advisory services, focused on finance, strategy, risk, and management. Building on that foundation—and in response to strong demand for high-quality accounting services—we founded Bowles Accounting in 2025. Today, we are a growing team of experienced accountants dedicated to supporting small and medium-sized business owners with their day-to-day accounting needs.
